Tako Park

“Just across the Kurima Bridge on the left side! A bright red octopus marks this unique spot. Take a break under the octopus while gazing out at the sea—a perfect place to soak in the natural beauty of Kurima Island!”

As soon as you cross the Kurima Bridge, you’ll spot a vivid red octopus sculpture on the left—this is the landmark of “Tako Park.” Its unique presence makes it easily visible even from the bridge.

Inside the park, a sun-dappled path leads through a jungle-like trail surrounded by subtropical plants. After about a 10-minute walk, you’ll arrive at Tako Park.

The octopus sculpture doubles as a gazebo, providing a shaded place to relax while enjoying the ocean view. Taking a photo under the octopus, with its intense, watchful eyes, is a popular activity.

Since the park is a short walk from the parking area, wear comfortable shoes and be sure not to forget anything. In summer, you might encounter large orb-weaver spiders, so be cautious if you’re sensitive to such creatures.

Enjoy a special moment with the octopus while surrounded by the rich natural landscape of Kurima Island.
