“A Hidden Scenic Spot on Irabu Island – Be Captivated by the White Staircase Leading into the Cobalt Blue Sea”

Shinbiji is a hidden gem located in the northern part of Irabu Island, between Shiratori Cape and the observation point known as Funau-sagi Banata. Known for its cinematic beauty, the spot invites visitors into a tranquil, otherworldly atmosphere.

To reach Shinbiji, you must drive along the island’s loop road and take a narrow path toward the ocean just before arriving at Funau-sagi Banata. At the end of the path, you’ll find a small parking area. With few visitors, it’s the perfect place to enjoy a peaceful, quiet moment.

From the parking lot, a rough trail leads you to a staircase descending toward the sea. The stairs, made of white stone, stretch down to the stunning cobalt blue ocean. The mesmerizing gradation from emerald green to deep blue, along with the incredible water clarity, is truly breathtaking.

Though the waves tend to be a bit strong for swimming, the location is ideal for sitting on the steps and taking in the natural beauty. Bringing along snacks or lunch to enjoy a slow, relaxing time is highly recommended.

Shinbiji offers a secluded, almost secretive atmosphere that can only be experienced by those who make the effort to reach it. It’s a special place where visitors can immerse themselves in the serene beauty of nature and find a moment of healing for the soul.
