Located about 100 meters east of Tarama Shrine, the Tomb of Toyomiya Harumina Dohara is a valuable cultural asset that strongly reflects the local history of Tarama Island. This tomb is distinguished by its beautiful arched stone gate surrounded by stone walls and is believed to have been constructed in the early 18th century by the monk Shinkai. Its structure resembles a gan (a stone chamber), showcasing the high level of stone masonry techniques of the time.

On the western side of the tomb stands a gravestone inscribed with the name of Haruyu, the seventh-generation descendant of Harumina, who restored the tomb in honor of his ancestor’s legacy. More than just a burial site, this tomb serves as a monument to the accomplishments of Toyomiya Harumina Dohara and the history of his family, carefully preserved by the people of Tarama Village.
